The personal data we collect about you

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

When you visit our website, we collect information to help us give you the best experience of The Future Leaders Project, and provide you with access to The Future Leaders Resource Portal. We cannot use this information to find out further personal information about you, but simply allows us to make improvements and tailor our content to you.

The legal basis for collecting this information is to gain explicit consent from you so that we can keep you informed about The Future Leaders Project.

How we use your personal data

We will only use your personal data when there is a lawful basis. For you, this means that we comply with all legal obligations when giving you access to The Future Leaders Resource Portal and to share information with you about The Future Leaders Project. And don’t worry, we won’t use your data to send you any marketing messages.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and we never sell any of your personal data to any third party. The only reason we may need to disclose your data is if we are required to do so by law. For example:

  • if there is a connection with any legal proceedings or if there might be legal proceedings in the future
  • if we need to defend our legal rights (such as providing information to others to prevent fraud)
  • if we are asked to by a court or other authority

International Data Transfers

All personal data processed by us is securely stored within the UK or EEA. We will only transfer data outside of the UK or EEA for any of the reasons we talk about in this policy.

Security of your personal information and retention

We continue to take all reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

How long we will keep your personal data for

We will store your data securely until 1st March 2022, when The Future Leaders Project has ended. We will then delete it from our database (we use Hubspot) but you will have a further 90 days to request access to your data before it is removed permanently from all our records.

This privacy notice is strictly for the Ivy House website and services only. If you see any links to other websites, please do review the privacy notices on those other websites on how their personal data is handled.

Web Site Navigational Information

Ivy House uses commonly­ used information ­gathering tools, such as cookies and Web beacons, to collect information as you navigate the Company’s websites (“Web Site Navigational Information”). This section describes the types of website navigational information the Company may collect and how the Company may use this information.

(a) Cookies
Most of our web pages use “cookies”. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we place on your computer or mobile device if you agree. These cookies allow us to distinguish you from other users of our websites, which helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website. Ivy House uses Web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about members and visitors’ usage of the Company websites and interaction with emails from the Company. Web beacons are clear electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular website tied to the Web beacon, and a description of a website tied to the Web beacon. For example, Ivy House may place Web beacons in marketing emails that notify the Company when you click on a link in the email that directs you to one of the Company’s websites. Ivy House uses Web beacons to operate and improve the Company’s websites and email communications. Ivy House may use information from Web beacons in combination with data about Ivy House members to provide you with information about the Company and the Service.

(c) IP Addresses
When you visit Ivy House website, the Company collects your Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses to track and aggregate non­-personally identifiable information. For example, Ivy House uses IP addresses to monitor the regions from which members and visitors navigate the Company’s websites.
Ivy House also collects IP addresses from members when they log into the service as part of the Company “Identity Confirmation” and “IP Range Restrictions” security features.

We recognise your rights relating to your personal data under the GDPR. These rights include:
