How M&S successfully cultivated a new standard of leadership

Wednesday 24th April | 09:30 – 10:15

Only 40% of leaders rate their organisation’s leadership quality as “very good” or “excellent” — down eight percentage points since the pandemic.

And yet every year, global organisations spend more than £47 billion on leadership development programmes.

So what’s going wrong?

We see that there are three parts to addressing this:

  1. Companies need to agree on and set a leadership vision before rolling out any development programmes
  2. Everyone – from c-suite to early-in-career talent – needs to be involved to create a successful leadership culture
  3. Behavioural change has to be the bedrock of any solution you put in place

What does good look like?

In this event, we’ll be taking a look at the realities we’re seeing of leadership in companies right now, what will make the biggest difference to leadership culture, and how you can measure the success of any changes you make. We’ll be joined by Anna Vila Pouca from M&S to share success stories on how they’ve fostered a culture of leadership that supports and challenges in equal measure.
