Elke Edwards, Founder of Ivy House, spent 20 years running one of the leading executive development businesses in Europe. She and her team worked with senior leaders at 50% of the FTSE 100, developing extensive knowledge about how to become an extraordinary leader and live an extraordinary life.
Together they made a real impact, winning over 40 awards for their work in leadership development, behavioural and performance change. During her time working with senior executives, Elke had 3 key crucial insights that changed her life and the lives of the people she worked with:
- There is a certain set of skills and knowledge that, once mastered, has a profound impact on the kind of leader you become and the kind of life you create.
- These skills and this knowledge can be learnt.
- The sooner you learn them, the better.
Why was this learning given only to senior execs? Why weren’t we giving it to the talent throughout our organisations so it makes a genuine difference – not only to the leaders they become, but to the lives they live?
So, she decided to do something about it. That something? Ivy House.
Our sole purpose is to bring the best personal and professional development – the kind that has previously only been available to a tiny percentage of the most senior execs – to talent at every level across organisations.
That belief has shaped everything we’ve done since 2017. And in 2026, it received a significant vote of confidence when Ivy House secured investment from Ama Capital, enabling us to accelerate our impact, broaden our capability and support even more organisations around the world. Crucially, the investment allows us to remain true to the purpose that inspired Ivy House from day one: helping more people become extraordinary leaders and live extraordinary lives.
